A national public health disaster has been declared for the United States of America. The Center For Disease Control is the go-to place for information as it pertains to the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Access to all City departments is limited, or prohibited; phone calls are the preferred method of doing business. In response to the declaration and to provide for the public health, safety, and welfare of all people, the Universal City Municipal Court has taken the following measures:
• In order to better serve our customers, the Municipal Court business hours will be Monday-Thursday, 7am-6pm and closed Fridays.​
​•All court appearances for May and June courts have been rescheduled. Letters informing defendants of the new date have been sent out. If you have not received your letter, please call the court. ​​
​•Court will continue taking citation payments at the lobby window. •Citations may also be paid in full using the Online Payment module: www.UCTX.Gov, search Online Payments, Municipal Court. 
​•Warrant payments may be made at www.UCTX.Gov, from the home page, on the left side, click on Warrant Payments.​

The Universal City Municipal Court handles all Class C misdemeanor traffic and city ordinance violations written by Universal City Police, Animal Control, and Code Enforcement departments. Universal City Municipal Court is a court of record.

Court Business Hours


Administrative Hours of Operation: 7:00 am-6:00 pm, Monday-Thursday, closed Friday. 
If you are over 17 years old, you may be able to pay citations, process dismissal requests, or make arrangements for defensive driving, deferred disposition or a payment extension before your court date.

Check in begins at 7:00am; you must be seated in the courtroom no later than 8:15am in order to see the judge.
 
Court is held the 2nd and 4th Wednesday morning of each month; you must appear on your scheduled court date in order to appear before the judge. If you are not scheduled for a court docket you will not be admitted to the courtroom.
