Interested in contributing to the new library facility?!

The Friends of the Universal City Public Library have set up a fund specifically for the new building. If you're interested in donating, please write a check to Friends of the Universal City Library and in the memo line, notate "Library Building Fund."
You can mail your check or bring it by the temporary location for the library located at 401 W. Byrd, Universal City, TX 78148.

Also, the Friends have published a book of short stories and poems submitted by our residents titled, "Tales and Poems From Universal City, Texas". Many citizens, from children, teens and adults, contributed stories and poems for this book. Copies of the book can be purchased HERE. Cost $28.73

Do the Friends raise money?

The Friends conduct fund-raisers to buy needed items for the library. Proceeds from the sale of books at the used bookstore along with memorial/honor gifts also go to support the library. The bookstore is currently closed while the library is in the temporary location. There will be a bookstore in the new library once it is built.

What volunteer work do the Friends do?

The Friends' operate the used bookstore, work as library volunteers, and perform other tasks as requested by the library staff and the Library Advisory Commission.

Each year the Friends give over 1,000 hours of their time in service to the Universal City Public Library.
