Records fulfills request for open records, background checks, alarm permits, solicitor licenses, parade permits and fingerprint cards.


Accident and Incident reports can be obtained during normal business hours. 
Open Records Request can be submitted online or in person and picked up once request is approved. Accident reports can also be purchased through TXDOT.

Alarm Permits

To apply for an alarm permit, submit the application online or visit us at the Police Dept. Review City Ordinance 532 for more information.

Alarm Permit Application (payment due within 10 days of submission)

To avoid additional fees and penalties, you must renew permit before December 31st of each year.

Solicitor License

To ensure the safety, comfort, convenience and protection of citizens of Universal City, the city established Ordinance 111, which regulates door-to-door sales and solicitation. If you have an organization that desires to go door-to-door or solicit within the city, it is required that you adhere to City Ordinance 111.

Fingerprints - 

Currently all fingerprinting is suspended until further notice.
Residents and business owners of Universal City can obtain fingerprints, either for background investigations or employment applications.

Alarm Permit Residential - $10.00/yr
Alarm Permit Business - $25.00/yr
Solicitor License - $35 (+ $2/per agent)
